Warner Bros. has some pretty high hopes for their new Garry Marshall comedy Valentine's Day. The movie hasn't even opened yet and the studio is already filtering money into a sequel.
Sources say that screenwriter Katherine Fugate, who penned Valentine's Day, has already turned in a draft for New Year's Eve, the follow-up to the mega-star studded flick. New Year's Eve will again have Garry Marshall at the helm and also bring back a majority of the Valentine's Day characters.
Depending on how well VDay does this weekend, there might be no end to the holiday-focused flick franchise! After New Year's Ever could be St. Patricks Day!
Then Labor Day! Then Halloween! (No, they did that one already.)
Do U think this is a franchise worth pursuing?

Yet, it may not be her best decision!
Nelly Furtado will make her silver screen debut in Score: A Hockey Musical. She will play a woman obsessed in the game, which is total typecasting - she's Canadian!
"Nelly is an incredible entertainer and, after speaking with her, I realized that she fully relished embracing her inner hockey fanatic," said director Michael McGowan.
Olivia Newton-John will also star as a mother of a young hockey player!
Inneresting.
Filming will begin in Toronto later this month.

Settling into his position as Hollywood's golden boy, Taylor Lautner has signed on to star in an upcoming action blockbuster!
As the beloved bendable childhood figurine, Stretch Armstrong!
The Twilight star will be portraying the Silly Putty-like action hero in the upcoming 3D flick which is set to hit theaters later this year.
"In the past two years, Taylor has emerged as a real star at the global box office," says a rep for Universal Pictures.
"He brings the perfect balance of energy and athleticism to the role of an unlikely super hero with a fantastic super power. We couldn't be more pleased that he has agreed to be our Stretch."

Could a chick flick bump Avatar off its box office high horse this weekend??
If Friday's numbers are any reflection of the days to come, YES!
Dear John, starring Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum opened to an impressive $13.8 million on Friday night, while Avatar only earned a little over $6 mil!
The seven-week #1 streak is (most likely) coming to a close!

We assume a lot of you ladies will be dragging your significant others for a little boo-hoo time at the movie, Dear John this weekend. Remember your Kleenex!
Unfortunately, this is just the first of two sappy love stories to come out of the Nicolas Sparks collection. The Last Song, starring Miley Cyrus, is coming out at the end of March.
So which will do better? Let's ask the stars!
When Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum were asked what would have happened if the movies had opened on the same weekend, Amanda gave an awesome answer:
"If The Last Song was coming out the same weekend as Dear John, we'd have to collaborate on some sort of sabotage mission."
Yes! Amazing!
Course, it would have been futile. We're fairly certain that her flick will do mildly better with the tween population on her side.
But which do U think will do better?
Update: Dear John is doing pretty darn well!

You quiet that precious mouth, Cher!!
You look flawless!! Even if you needed a little shot of silicone courage to keep you fresh!!
The legendary diva, who is 63 and looks FEROSH, is apparently a little intimidated by her young co-stars Christina Aguilera and Veronica Mars in the world's next Showgirls, Burlesque!!
"It's a hard job. You get up at 5 a.m. and you try to look good. All these girls are, like, a third my age. That is rough."
Try? Girlfriend, you got this with your hands tied behind your back!!
She also has some kind words for Christina.
"I'm shocked, but she's really good. The other day, we were hamming it up so badly, so old, like vaudevillian. She was keeping up! She was hot. Her game is good!"
Aguilera, who plays the Jessi Spano character to Cher's Gina Gershon, is having a blast "tapping into this whole new experience."
We kid about it being the new Showgirls - Cher is much smarter than to sign onto a movie that disastrous - but we secretly kind of want it to be!! That movie is gold!!

He was probably doing whip its before he made this comment!!!
Mickey Rourke has gone on the record to say that his co-star in the film Passion Play, Megan Fox, "is the best young actress I've ever worked with."
Yeah RIGHT. How many rub and tugs did she have to give you to convince you to say that, Mickey?
Rourke continued the LOLz when he said,
"I don’t know if a lot of her films have showcased her acting ability more than, say, being action-oriented, but she really stepped up the plate with this one and was very consistent and professional, beyond her years. At 23, I couldn’t do half of what she’s doing."
You mean at 23 you couldn't say the dumbest shiz possible in every interview you gave, make shiteous films and then insult the director who gave you your first big break, and act like a moron because you want to be 'edgy' and Angelina Jolie??
Poor Mickey Rourke! He's missed out on so much!!
However, apparently Fox plays a circus freak in this new movie, so we might check it out!! Okay, we just lied through our teeth. Not even being the bearded lady would make us want to sit through another Megan Fox snoozefest!

Anne Hathaway was originally offered the title role for the upcoming Alice In Wonderland movie, but the actress turned it down! She explains:
"The studio had the Alice script a long time ago and I was approached back then for the part of Alice. I considered it, but felt, what with The Princess Diaries, that I had been there, done that sort of pretty-girl-in-a-fairy-dress role. I told the studio, however, that if they found a director eventually, that I would be interested at a later date in playing the White Queen."
The role of Alice ultimately went to Australian actress Mia Wasikowska with Tim Burton directing and Anne was looked over for the role of the White Queen! She continues:
"When Tim came on board he had the cast he wanted and, of course, that didn't include me. But the other actress who was marked had scheduling conflicts, so the studio piped up and put me forward.
"I talked on the phone with Tim and he really liked my take. I wanted the Queen to be a cross between Debbie Harry, Greta Garbo, David Bowie, with (a) little bit of the work of Dan Flavin thrown in for good measure."
Sounds like it all worked out in the end.
Plus we think Mia Wasikowska has more of that Alice look…and wouldn't Anne be a little too old to play her anyway? Just sayin'!

We knew it!!
Despite reports that her MADGEsty would be silly enough to kick her latest piece's seksi ass to the curb, sources are claiming that she and Baby Jesus Luz are still very much together.
A source witnessed the two at the London premiere party for A Single Man Monday night.
“They were all over each other and were even kissing in front of everyone. They looked like they were still very much an item. Tom Ford was there, and she looked like she wanted to talk to him before she left for the evening. But there’s no doubt she and Jesus were at the party together.”
She even was spotted chatting with ex-husband Guy Ritchie! We hope she wasn't just using Baby Jesus to make him jealous!!
Probably not though.
The Queen of Pop also reportedly took to streets of NYC to get her freak on Wednesday night.
“She came into SL with a huge entourage of guys, but it looked very friendly. At first, she was blocked off by security, but as the night went on she was having such a good time that she was out dancing like everyone else. They made a huge circle, and Madonna looked like she was competing with [“The Hurt Locker’s”] Anthony Mackie and Jeremy Renner. Madonna looked really happy and like she was having a good time, but any attention she got from the men was definitely platonic.”
Phew! We're thrilled to hear the Material Girl is having a great time and is breaking it down!! Take us with you next time!!
