Snoop Dogg recently revealed that he had so much fun working with Katy Perry on their smash single, California Gurls, that he wants to feature HER on a track for his upcoming album!
He says:
"We're trying to get together and do something on my new album for my new record, so [I'm] definitely in contact with her. She's a sweet girl and I had fun making the record ['California Gurls'] with her… Like I said, I'm looking forward to her being on my record as well. My sound is just fun, good music. My music has always been about me having a good time, people feeling good, that's what I’m looking for."
Make it happen, guys!
We bet they'd kill it all over again a second time around!
Katy Perry may be in trouble due to eight words: "I wish they all could be California girls."
The Beach Boys’ label, Rondor Music, is threatening legal action against Perry’s label, Capitol Records, unless Beach Boys Brian Wilson and Mike Love receive writing credit and royalties from Perry’s hit song California Gurls.
The boys themselves seem to be playing the good guys. Here’s what Brian Wilson’s rep had to say on the matter:
"Rondor owns the track and called Brian and Mike, saying they were going to complain. Brian likes Katy's record and doesn't know where the situation stands."
Do U think The Beach Boys Rondor Music should get what they’re asking for?
This week, The Black Eyed Peas' I Gotta Feeling became the first song to pass the 6 million mark in paid downloads!
The band also had the first song to top the 500,000 mark in paid downloads with Let's Get It Started back in February 2005.
As for Miz Katy Perry, California Gurls topped the 3 million mark this week, tying Flo Rida's Right Round as the fastest any song reached 3 million in sales.
It's also Katy's third song to reach 3 million after I Kissed A Girl and Hot N Cold.
Well, damn, gurl! You must be asking yourself Russell WHO?
Miz Katy Perry was spotted shooting the music video for her follow-up single to California Gurls, Teenage Dream, up in Santa Barbara, and as you can see for yourself, looks like they had a fun time on the shoot together!
We can't wait to see what this music video is going to look like - especially if THAT delish gent, who apparently is an actor named Josh Kloss, spends the majority of his screen time in various states of undress!
Eminem's latest single featuring Rihanna, Love The Way You Lie, is expected to hit the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and dethrone Miz Katy Perry and Snoop's summer anthem!
Wow! We think it's safe to say that Eminem is back with a vengeance!
Katy Perry's smash single California Gurls is the second song in history to sell 300,000 digital copies in a week - FOUR TIMES IN A ROW!
In its seven week run, the song got 2,110,000 purchases, which makes it just behind Flo Rida's Right Round - which hit the two million mark in only five weeks!
